Why Custom Signage Is SO Important At Your Wedding

Weddings are a LOT of work. Between booking the florist, practicing your first dance, figuring out hair trials, all while crossing your fingers that your wedding is that Pinterest-perfect vision, your head can start spinning. I'm here to tell you that your Pinterest-perfect vision is actually easier to accomplish than you may have thought.

I think the best "secret" to a beautiful wedding is the personalized touches and thoughtful details that the bride and groom incorporate. One of the most simple ways to do this is by using custom signage at your wedding. Whether it is a lovely welcome sign at the entrance of the ceremony, thoughtful ways of inviting guests to "choose a seat, not a side", or decorations on the table, your guests will see the thought that went into the wedding and instantly feel more connected to your big day.

Here's a few reasons why signage and details take your wedding to another level!

Reason One: VIBES
Whenever I go (almost) anywhere, I'm more likely to hope for a really inviting vibe, or atmosphere. My husband laughs because if we are looking for a new restaurant, I'm more likely to look at the gallery photos of the inside instead of the actual menu. I think this concept is consistent in the wedding world. Every wedding has food, music, (hopefully) drinks, and a pretty girl in a white dress. What some weddings miss, though, is that thoughtful touch that adds a certain warmth to the room. Incorporating custom signage is such a simple, yet classic way to create the perfect vibe, whether it's rustic, glamorous, organic, vintage, etc.

Reason Two: CONNECT WITH THE BRIDE AND GROOM
When working with an engaged couple on what I can create for them for their wedding day, it's so fun to see their personalities come out. I love hearing about how they got engaged or where they vacationed together. It helps me to understand their vision for their wedding day and to give me more insight how my pieces will fit into their venue. Whether the bride and groom choose significant places they've visited to act as the table "numbers", include a super cute hashtag, or even curate signature cocktails around their personalities, there are so many ways the bride and groom can really be highlighted in such creative ways.

Reason THREE: It's AFFORDABLE.
One of the biggest reasons couples argue during their engagement is due to the stress of wedding planning, specifically revolving around the financial aspect of it. It costs HOW much for that band? Wait...THAT much for a CENTERPIECE?! I remember when Ryan and I were wedding planning that I had little to no idea how much to expect various elements to cost and I'll be the first to admit that I got a little sticker shock in some areas. So, I thought about what I was able to DIY to save of costs (but also to create that awesome vibe, duhh!), which is why custom signage and details was so fun. Instead of worrying about a grand floor-to-ceiling floral display (which will inevitably cost an arm and a leg), consider adding a seating chart statement piece. Or instead of adding your eleventh food station at cocktail hour (which your guests will think is cool, but ultimately leave them feeling more full than Thanksgiving evening), think about a way to display a memorial for loved ones who have passed away and cannot be here today. These little touches are easy on the wallet and make such a fantastic statement!
