Bachelorette & Bachelor Party Round Up

Holy smokes. I haven't posted since january. but i'm back! hello! as i'm  sure you could imagine, the past eight months (since my last post) have been super busy. between school, grad school, wedding planning, etc., i've definitely put this blog on the back burner. however, my new resolution is to give it more attention!

i feel like the best way to get back on track is to give a brief overview as to what i've been up to lately!

when "they" say time flies when you're getting married, "they" aren't kidding. to think that ryan and i are getting married in less than three months is insane. we cannot wait for our big day, though!

a few weeks ago, my girlfriends and i went away for my bachelorette party, which was nothing short of amazing. we arrived in baltimore on friday and went straight to the nail salon for relaxing pedicures. after that, we had reservations at a super fun mexican-inspired restaurant located right on the water. we celebrated with tasty drinks and even tastier food. 

after we got home on friday night, we made drinks and snacks and my bridesmaids, toni and katie, read responses to questions they sent ryan and i! good job to us because we accurately answered so many questions! woo!

On saturday we woke up and got ready for the most amazing brunch of my life. we must have tried 30 different small plates, so it was the perfect way to sit and relax and enjoy ourselves. if you're ever in the area of a cava restaurant, go!

after brunch, we headed to my personal favorite part of the whole weekend, the charm city pedal mill, which was essentially a trolley that moved because of us pedaling! our amazing "tour guide", autumn, brought us to three different bars. this was easily the most fun of the whole weekend. between the good music and good drinks, it was so nice to spend the whole afternoon with all of the girls. 

shout out to toni for getting the adorable bride tribe tanks! loved them! all in all, it was a great afternoon.

but the day wasn't over! once we all got home, we got dolled up (me in white, the girls in black) to head out for dinner and to check out the bars. 

sunday morning was spent eating a delicious breakfast cooked by some of my bridesmaids at home and cleaning up the house! we all headed back home to relax after a very busy weekend.

overall, i'm soooo incredibly thankful to have spent the weekend with such fun, smart, happy, celebratory, beautiful people! It makes me that much more excited to dance the night away with them on november 18!

it would be unfair to only talk about my bachelorette party and ignore ryan's! this past weekend, he and his buddies went to saratoga lake in new york. On friday they night, they all arrived at different times, so they spent the afternoon grilling, playing poker, and enjoying some brews. at night, they went into saratoga to check out some bars.

on saturday, they rented a pontoon boat all day and found a great sand bar to spend the afternoon. after a day in the sun, a few of them opted to hang at the house at night, while others went back into town.

on sunday, the group headed to the race track for a few hours to wind down before heading home. 

needless to say, he came home with some pretty solid stories. i told him that his assignment for the weekend was to get one picture of the group of them. surprisingly, mission accomplished! good job, boys!

these past few days post-bachelor/bachelorette parties have been spent getting my classroom ready for start of the new school year (thanks, bobby and annie for your help!), working on wedding planning, and spending time with friends and family.
