DIY: Classroom Stool

This past summer, I got my first job as a middle school math teacher. Obviously, I became more obsessed that I was already with Pinterest and knew I wanted to get busy crafting and making things for my new classroom.

I knew I wanted a cool "teacher stool", but didn't want to spend the money. My boyfriend's mom remembered she had this old stool tucked in the attic somewhere, and thank goodness she found it:

It doesn't look like much to begin with, but we got busy! My boyfriend and I sanded the edges and gave it a fresh coat of nice white paint. Then, we used a staple gun to attach a thick layer of foam. Finally, the staple gun came in handy one more time to attach my blue and white fabric I got from Joanne's! After just a little bit of work, here's the final product!
